Can We Learn If We Don’t Admit To Our Problems? (8th Grade English Assignment #12)

For my English class today, I will be writing an essay about If we are afraid to reveal our lack of knowledge we will not be able to learn.

Now, if we are afraid to reveal our lack of knowledge will not be able to learn? My answer is, yes. If a person is afraid to tell somebody they are stuck or confused they can’t really move forward because they will still be focused on the fact they are super confused on what they just covered.

In my opinion, I think that you should tell somebody if you are having trouble understanding. If you do not make other aware of the situation, nobody can help you. Also, if you are having trouble in school and you do not tell anybody, you will most likely not be able to pass the next test because you have this problem, that could be big!

However, some people are embarrassed by their questions. I have known many people who do this. I do believe that even if it is a “dumb” question you should still ask it! If you ask this question you will understand. I personally, would rather get embarrassed by a question, but still get the answer and then understand, than Not ask the question and not understand!

In public school there are many cases where students do not understand the material that is given to them. A lot of these students don’t ask for the teacher to elaborate what they are saying and some might now even ask a simple question. However, those students who do ask the teacher for help, they are the students who end up passing the texts in the future.

As you can tell, people who ask questions when they are confused tend to get better grades and understand a lot more than those who don’t. So, the lesson learned here is to ask questions no matter what!
